Samantha Mason, first, and Erin White, second, in District Speech contest
From a field of 14 speakers, Samantha Mason and Erin White, both 8th graders here at LCS, placed first and second respectively in last Thursday night's RSU 24 speech contest. Third place and an alternate if needed, was Kenzey Tracy from EEMS. The judges were: John Hunnefeld, English teacher, Deb Metzler, Title I coordinator, and Heather Murad, Social Studies teacher. Samantha and Erin's Language Arts teacher is Timothy Barlow.
