Modern Woodmen Lamoine Speech Contest - 'Someone Who has Overcome'

Today's winner, Erin White, wrote a speech about Maria Virginia Farinango, a slave from Ecuador, who became the Queen of Water; Samantha Mason's topic was Marcus Luttrell, a former Navy Seal who survived an ambush in Afghanistan behind enemy lines; and Emmaline Bierman spoke about Harriet Tubman, a slave who led many to freedom through the 'Underground Railroad'.
