April 25, 2013, the Cave Hill stage and gym were bustling with student speakers and their supporters. Family members, teachers and friends were all in attendance, rooting for their representative. Students spoke on the topic 'A Person Who Has Overcome'. Speeches had to be between 3 and 5 minutes in length and the student's own words. The criteria for judging were material organization, delivery and presentation, and overall effectiveness. During the announcement of the winners, it was noted that the judges had quite a challenge in selecting the first second and third places. Congratulations to all the participants.
