Common Sense Media Digital Citizenship

In 2014-15, the third graders at Cave Hill School learned how to be good digital citizens through the use of Common Sense Media's Digital Citizenship program. We met once a week and discussed cyberbullying, private vs. personal information, what's okay to post online and what's not okay, plagiarism, and how to be a good online friend. We used ebooks on the iPad minis that were borrowed from the IT department at RSU24 to make this a true online experience. As part of this class, we also learned how to highlight text in a digital book, take online quizzes and submit them to a teacher, and how to use the Apple TV to share our work.
