REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

SURPLUS VEHICLES PURCHASE

Regional School Unit #24 is seeking proposals from individuals or entities wishing to purchase surplus vehicles.

Vehicle #1 a full size, 77 passenger surplus school bus as follows:  Bus #773-2013 International, Conventional Body, 6 Cylinder MaxxForce DT motor, Allison transmission, 129,791 miles, runs and drives, needs engine work, has been sitting for two years. 

Vehicle #2 a full size, 77 passenger surplus school bus as follows:  Bus #871-2011 Blue Bird, Conventional Body, 6 Cylinder Cummings ISB 6.7 motor, Allison transmission, 190,100 miles, runs and drives,  needs engine work.

Vehicle #3 a full size 2012 Chevrolet Silverado Pickup, 4 Wheel Drive, 84,986 miles, runs and drives, needs repair work for inspection.

The vehicles may be viewed at the RSU 24 Bus Garage at 2165 US Highway 1, Sullivan ME.  Vehicles are used with usual condition for their ages and are sold “as is, where is” and must be removed by August 19, 2024.   Written proposals clearly marked “Surplus School Vehicles'' with the vehicle number(s) above clearly stated on the proposal document, shall be delivered to Janet Jordan, Facilities & Operations Manager, Regional School Unit 24, 2165 US Highway 1, Sullivan, ME 04664.  Bids may be mailed or transmitted by email to [email protected].  Proposals are due by 2:00 P.M.
