College Scholarships - Hancock Point Chapel Society Scholarship
Each year the Hancock Point Chapel Society awards scholarships to town of Hancock students who are going on to higher education. The scholarships are available to students who are graduating this spring and anyone who graduated last year but put off attending college for a year. The scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis a judged on academic record, extracurricular participation and financial need. Scholarship applications must be submitted by May 5, 2014 and may be obtained from the student's high school guidance counselor, the Hancock Town Hall, or Peter Bryant, 154 West Shore Road, Hancock, Maine 04640.
Summer Camp Scholarships Attention: Students & Parents: Grades 6-8
Summer camp can be a wonderful way to meet new friends, learn new skills and learn a lot about yourself. The Hancock Point Chapel Society offers scholarships to Hancock kids in the 6th-8th grades who are interested in attending an educational summer camp. There are several camps in Eastern Maine that offer a variety of programs including science, mathematics, conservation education, musical study, art, theater production and drama. Camp brochures, applications, and scholarship forms can be obtained from Ms. Megan Stetler. Ms. Stetler is conducting an information session at the Grammar School Wednesday, March 5th, between 4:00-6:00 pm. Additionally, she is at the Grammar School each weekday, except Monday and can also be reached at [email protected].
