The Regional School Unit 24 Board of Directors will conduct a Public Hearing on the following Question which will be the subject of a referendum vote on November 8, 2016:

Question 1: Do you favor authorizing the Board of Directors of Regional School Unit No. 24 ("RSU 24") to issue bonds or notes in the name of RSU 24 in an amount not to exceed $1,265,000 to finance costs to purchase the RSU District Services Facility located on approximately 1.9 acres of land on the westerly side of Route 1 in the Town of Sullivan, by exercising a purchase option under RSU 24's current lease of that property?

The Public Hearing will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. at the RSU 24 District Services Facility, 2165 US Highway 1 in Sullivan.

Welcome Back!

There will be a Certification Orientation meeting for all new teachers in RSU24. At this meeting you will receive a certification handbook and information about your certification responsibilities. This is a "can't miss" meeting that is required by law.

Location: Sumner Memorial HIgh School Library
Date: September 19, 2016 at 3:30 p.m.
Estimated to be about an hour meeting.

Please bring a copy of your current certificate, or any correspondence you have received from the Maine Department of Education in Augusta. Also bring the new teacher notebook that you received from Janet Jordan.

Congratulations to Faye Torrey, who is being honored by the Maine School Nutrition Association! Faye has been invited to attend a special ceremony this August recognizing her numerous years of hard-working, steadfast service to our students and staff. Faye has been a dedicated employee in the food service department in our school district for 42 years. We are very fortunate to have an employee like Faye that is so committed to our food service program. We are very proud she is being honored for her years of loyalty. Well done, Faye!
