The law requires students to sit in the back seat if they are not yet 12 years old and weigh less than 100 pounds. When we load K-8 students into vehicles at the end of the day, we will be informing parents of this information and will place students in the back seat. The exception, of course, is if the parent picks up a child in a truck that does not have a back seat. There will be an information booklet coming home with your child soon.
