Claire Russel, a senior at Ellsworth High School, was invited to speak to our elementary students about RESPECT. 3rd grade students wrote letters to community members they believed could speak about RESPECT. A letter written by Olivia Ringuette inspired Claire to take on, and rise, to the challenge. She captivated her audience with perfect examples and a delightful story about a man who showed respect by saving one starfish at a time....thank you, Claire!
We also honored all of the students who received bricks for acts of citizenship during the month of December...congratulations to all!
Last, we were informed about a new service learning project starting soon....S.O.S. or Service of Students. Participants from Lunch Bunch 9 will spend their mornings monitoring the hallways and office to help anyone in need...thank you S.O.S team!
